Community Navigators are a fairly new free service, having been set up in 2012.

They are local volunteers or members of organisations who help older people find their way to activities or services which they would enjoy or find useful.

A description of what Community Navigators do is HERE but the kinds of things they can help with are;

A community car scheme for a lift to activities and appointments

A local friendship club, lunch club or activity group

Modifications to home or mobility aids

Financial health check to maximise income

Help at home to support through an illness or with a one off task

Guidance to appropriate voluntary organisation services

The point of contact for your Community Navigator in South Cambs is Wesley Freeman-Smith who can be contacted on 01954 212100 and for your Community Navigators in Cambridge City is Jigna Vyas-Gozal or Jen Wells whose number is 01223 300460
